Light Cubes is a modular light installation built from several dozen half-meter cubes with controllable LEDs. For the system, we developed custom controllers, a web interface for control and animation, and the ability to receive a video signal over Art-Net so the cubes could function as a full spatial media environment.
The object first lived in a club context, including use at Gazgolder, and later became a permanent installation in our own lab. The project clearly reflects the studio’s approach to object-based lighting: not just decor, but a programmable spatial system that can be reconfigured for different venues and scenarios.
