— Task and context
An interactive “Tetris” installation created for Outline 2015 at the Karacharovsky Mechanical Plant. The game field was projected onto a huge wall of a former workshop, where the cells of the game were effectively formed by old ceramic tiles, while the controller was a large oil barrel fitted with built-in buttons.
What interested us here was not simply putting a game on a large screen, but building a site-specific interface out of the industrial environment itself. As a result, “Tetris” functioned simultaneously as gameplay, as a media sculpture, and as a point of attraction inside the rave festival, turning an abandoned workshop into an active play object.
