Urban Dreams 2018

A project created for the first Urban Dreams city festival, held in autumn 2018 at Kleinhouse. The event was perceived as a more urban, club-oriented, and industrial version of Midsummer Night’s Dream: dance floors, art objects, performances, and projection scenes were assembled into one night route inside a still-uninhabited complex.

According to surviving announcements and project posts, trees with video installations were meant to “grow” through the walls and ceilings, while one of the central works was a large object about 40 metres long. Within this environment, we built a site-specific visual layer for the Urban Dreams 2018 party after being invited by the Midsummer Night’s Dream team. Projection, graphic accents, and object-based elements worked not separately but as part of the overall atmosphere of the night, supported by the installation team and project collaborators including Cardbeast.
